Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) for software full time

Your Responsibilities

  • You test software plugins in different formats using various DAWs under Windows and OSX
  • You create, enhance and execute complex Test Grids
  • You develop and maintain automated tests together with our developers
  • You conduct investigative tests in order to ensure the high quality of our products
  • You are an active member of our Agile Scrum Team and contribute to the software development cycle
  • You proactively communicate with the Product Owner, Developers, the Project Manager and other Stakeholders

Your Essential skills

  • Successfully completed degree in audio engineering or IT
  • Proficient knowledge of at least one major DAW (Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic) is required
  • Good knowledge of OSX and Windows
  • Good knowledge of German and English both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, Java, Ruby) is a plus
  • You live in the EU and already hold a valid working permit
  • You are a team player and have a sense of responsibility and quality

Software Application Developer C++ (m/f/d) full time

The Candidate

  • You develop applications and services for macOS and Windows platforms that enable Plugin Alliance products on customers systems
  • You help in architecting the next steps in a growing demand on those infrastructural topics, diving into the different aspects like OS level APIs, web server communication, plugin communication, UI development
  • You work closely together with our software architect and DevOps engineer as well as Product Management, Project Management and Quality Assurance in an agile way

Qualifications

  • Bachelor, masters or equivalent degree in computer science or comparable discipline
  • Multi-year experience in macOS and/or Windows application development
  • A strong background in C++
  • Preferably good knowledge of and experience with the Qt framework
  • Bonus skill: Knowledge of other cross-platform frameworks including JS based ones
  • Bonus skill: Experience in mobile app development, iOS and/or Android
  • The ability to quickly move into new technical foundations when required
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Good knowledge of German and English both written and spoken

The Candidate

  • You develop Effect Plugins and Virtual Instruments
  • You analyze analog gear and create DSP algorithms
  • You contribute to our Framework and our Build Chain
  • You work harmoniously with our Product Managers, Testers, and Project Managers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years work experience in Programming
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in Pro Audio
  • Good knowledge of analog circuit analysis
  • Well experienced using IDEs Xcode and Visual Studio
  • Experience with common Mac / Win Frameworks and APIs
  • User experience in DAWs such as Cubase and Pro Tools
  • Experience with agile development methods
  • Good knowledge of German and English both written and spoken

The Candidate

  • You like to spend your internship semester of computer science, electrical engineering, media technology or similar in the pro audio industry
  • You have a minimum of 3 months time

Qualifications

  • First experience in programming, e.g. C, C++, PowerShell
  • Basic knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • User experience in DAWs such as Cubase or Pro Tools
